Build and Not Tear Down

The challenge at the moment is to remain positive in the face of the world’s craziness.  And while it is important to stand up against the wrongs that are being perpetrated by so many of our misguided leaders who are too busy playing politics to really work on the things that really matter, it is important to create positively.

According to Isaac Newton and his “Third Law of Motion”: “For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”.  It is not surprising then that the most effective means of producing positive change is not to oppose another force head-on but to work to turn that force’s motion in a more favourable direction.  For example, even the National Rifle Association in the USA is open to banning the “bump” devices which turn semi-automatic weapons into effectively fully automatic weapons.

It is important to support and acknowledge any positive steps by own opponents however small.  It is important to maintain a working dialogue with all people if at all possible, for this makes future changes a little more possible.

The following poem was written by me six months ago.  Despite my familiarity with the expression “little one” I am still a little uncomfortable with this wording. Sometimes, particularly when capitalized (q.v. Little One), this term is directed towards me, and sometimes it is directed to all souls living at this time on the Earth.

I hope you find this poem helpful in some way.  And it is a “real” poem, almost, this time as it mostly rhymes.  I don’t know that the rhyming is as powerful as when the words flow from the heart almost indiscriminately, but its useful to explore other means of expression.  Enjoy.

Build and Not Tear Down

Find what is true and let everything else go.

You can do this for you already know,

which things are important, and which things are not…

so let go of the non-essentials, and live the life you could.

Let go of all the niceties, and obligations, and all the things you “should”.

Let go of the people, all those who waste your time,

with their gossip, and negativity, for your strength they undermine.

Let go of those “too serious” and all the “drama-queens”,

who like nothing better than a “war”, or “villains” and “victims”,

or any kind of scene.

Let go.  Let go.  Let go,

and let God be your guiding light.

Turn round.  Turn round,

and follow the path that is clearly in your sight.

Follow Truth, Love and Kindness, and let your flag unfurl,

as you step up… step forward…

to build a better world.

Let us march together, arm in arm, and hand in hand.

Let us cultivate the numbers of this ever-growing band,

of people who want to build and not tear down,

So build and create, all the good things in life…

and if we build together, and make each other stronger,

we will put an end to strife.

God bless all you fellows, who are seeking to end war.

God bless all you workers, who are seeking to restore,

the world of God’s creation, that we call Paradise…

and soon it will be here…

if we keep building on our building, and keep loving in our hearts…

and soon this new beginning will be a perfect start…

So little one, keep building…

Keep loving…

and keep growing…

in Love and Light and Truthfulness.

God bless,

Alan

Seeing in Colour

Life is short and it is up to us to make the most of each moment.  Life can be magical and exciting and all-embracing if we stay centred and at peace.  This is our ongoing challenge, so create well my friends.

I hope the following poem written in March, 2017 can help to inspire you to stay on track with your spiritual progress, for in truth, we all need to help each other. Together, we can overcome all obstacles.

Seeing in Colour

Most of us do not see auras, or spirit people.

This is not our fault, for most people have limited abilities to perceive,

and even to understand.

Most of us see the shades of grey of our black and white world,

that is, in truth, illusion.

Our black and white thinking leads us to the black flag of ISIL, (ISIS, or Da’ish)

in one extreme.

Our whole lives are seen in these colours,

and our happiest, and saddest days,

are symbolised by the white, wedding dress,

and the black of traditional mourning.

It is as if we are deprived, or just lost.

It is as though we are colour-blind.

Black and white thinking, is not right.

It turns daylight, into night.

It turns peace, into a fight,

So please, please, turn on your light.

Right now.

The way to do this… to move forward…

is to see with your heart.

The “black” and “white” / “wrong” and “right” perceptions,

come from the mind.

So, instead…  sit in love…

See with love…

Let the world pass by without attachment…

without judgement…

and you will begin to see more clearly…

and more colourfully…

and you will start to understand,  the beauty and perfection,

of Itheshe’s creation.

These are just a few words, for now.

God bless,

Alan

Reopening a Door

Greetings and good wishes.

Here’s another overdue installment of my spiritual poetry.  I do need to keep this fairly brief as I am still using one of the local library’s computers.

The following poem was written in 2013.  Any references to my painting are greatly overstated in their significance.  I am or was a dabbler at the very best.  Still it is a great pleasure to be creative in whatever manner.

I hope you have lots of creative outlets and are keeping as many doors open as possible.  I hope you enjoy this offering.

Reopening a Door

Painting again…  and now writing too.

How I’ve missed these activities…  even the painting.

I feel my spirit coming alive…

a fanning of the flames of excitement.

I feel a stillness, and a calm, reverberating, inside me…

I feel a connection to the Peace, outside me.

It’s as if I’ve opened a cobweb-covered door…

that should never have been closed.

My painting, “Watching the Darkness” lies before me.

I want to shout out: “Let there be Light”…

for there is too much darkness on this planet…

here in this town… and in my heart…

for I do not look after my heart…

I do not keep it vibrant… and excited.

I allow doors to close…

and to slowly be covered with cobwebs…

I forget to dust my mind, and my soul.

It’s as if I have a beautiful motor vehicle which I am locking in a garage,

and using sporadically, and without attention and care,

and mindfulness.

Perhaps, today will remind me that I have a beautiful heart…

and remind me to look after it…

Remind me of the things that are important…

the things that make life worth living…

and each day, so very precious.

I am a buffoon… chasing after foolishness…

and squandering the treasures, and the delights,

that lie in the simple pleasures of living in “the moment”…

in the stillness…  and in the eternal flow.

I am so blessed…

with great Love,

Alan

Treat yourself with Love and kindness, and allow the Divine flow to guide you in all things.

In love and light

A Flower in God’s Garden

Greetings and good wishes to all.

I’ve been revising some old poems recently and transcribing them to my computer recently, and I came across this poem from 2010.  I find that it still speaks to me and I hope it does to you as well.

I will have to leave my preamble short today as I’ve had to use one of my local library’s computers, as mine is not working. Now I’m coming towards the end of my session, so I’ll go straight into the poem.

A Flower in God’s Garden

I am a flower… made by God.

I am a beautiful soul, that is a part of God’s garden.

Sometimes it seems I am surrounded by weeds…

but there are no weeds in God’s garden.

For all beings are beautiful flowers.

It is true that some of these flowers, need pruning…

and/or support…  to reach their full potential….

and to show their full, Divine glory.

Most of the flowers need fertiliser to help them grow…

All of them need water… and tending by a Divine hand.

Be a flower, little one….

Be delicate, and graceful, and open to the world.

Be a flower, little one…  be beautiful…

and give to the world your true self… and your honey.

Let your words… and your thoughts… be nectar,

to sustain the world…

and to manifest a new Eden…

which is the Earth… as it truly is….

full of beauty…  full of Love…. full of peace.

Be a flower, little one….

Don’t worry if there are stronger, or taller,

or more beautiful flowers around you.

You are beautiful, as you are.

Keep yourself in good condition.  Look after all your needs.

Eat healthily, and in moderation.

Drink plenty of water, and be careful about what you consume.

Cultivate your thoughts… and discipline your actions…

to bring to the fore, your true beauty.

Be a gardener of your soul… and be a guardian of…

and advocate for, the Earth.

It is time for you to be a flower… not just a bud, of Divine potential.

Open up…                           Take a deep breath….

and just be… a flower.

Be a flower, in God’s garden…

for that is enough.

God bless.

Best wishes to all.  Stay strong, keep the faith, and help create a better world.

In love and light,

Alan

Life Lived in a Blur

I must apologize once again for my neglect of “duties”.  I have been spending a reasonable amount of time putting my longhand writings onto my computer, but that is no excuse for neglecting my “legion”of readers.

Seriously though I have dropped the ball here and I now understand the reason the message from an oracle card I drew yesterday, which told me to write.  I’ve been doing my poetry, but not giving due attention to my blog.  I shall try to do better in future.

This morning, I transcribed and rewrote a poem from 2010, which I would love to share with you now.

Life Lived as a Blur

Rush. Rush Rush.

Why is everyone in such a hurry?

We are always in a rush, trying to cram too many things into our lives.

We want more and more…

and our lives become full…

of emptiness.

The experiences that we have are shallow.

We allow an hour to visit a gallery… when we need a day.

We decide to go the football, and we rush…

driving too quickly in the traffic…

so we can gobble down some “food” from the take-away shop…

eating the rest of our chips as we leave.

Why do we do this?…

Little of this is satisfying…

Little of this is relaxing, or peaceful…

or “quality time”.

Life on the go… is life, lived in a blur.

The things around us flash past without definition,

and with limited comprehension or acknowledgement.

It is like travelling on a train at high speed.

While the things a long way away can be seen with some clarity,

the poles and signals just outside the window,

are glimpsed, and just as quickly… “gone”.

When we rush we usually breath shallowly.

We are stressed, and unable to fill our lungs…

We cannot take in the nourishment, that is in the air.

When we rush we tend to take large bites when we eat,

and swallow food that is not properly chewed.

We find it hard to digest our meals…

and impossible to receive full nourishment.

When we rush we do not have time for our children.

We do not have time to answer their questions…

to reassure their anxieties…

Let alone have time, to just sit, and watch them grow.

Is this how you want to live your life?

Is this how you want to raise your children?

Take some time…. Today!…

just to catch your breath… just to take stock of your life.

What is it that you really want?

What do you really need?

What can you give up, and never miss?

What will make your life… and the lives of your family, better?

Take some time to de-stress… every day.

Learn to meditate… and to listen to your higher wisdom.

Remember to make a point of checking your breathing…

and when you need to…

take some deep breaths…

Fill… your… lungs…

and r… e… l… a… x…

When you breath out.

let go… of your tension.

Take some time… to do the things that are truly important.

When at all possible, sit down with your family, when you eat your meals.

Sit down at a table and talk… about what’s going on in your lives…

about the little things… and the big things…

for all are important.

Put aside time… regularly…

for your needs…. as your happiness….

effects everyone … around you.

In summary:

Don’t try and do too much.

Don’t bother with things that are not important.

Don’t worry about things… it is people, that are important.

Be open to giving everyone your love… and your wisdom…

But, you can only do this if you take the time…

and give your attention… and your intention

to creating the s p a c e in your life…

to be in touch… and in tune…

with these parts….

of you.

Stop… Listen… Learn…

Speak from your heart…

and share… and teach…

and spread… your love.

And one final thing…. Have fun!!! along the way.

God bless.

Travel well upon on your individual journeys, my friends.  In the moment there is only peace and love and well-being.

Namaste

Ten Suggestions for Making Things Count

If you keep reading you will find that there are more than ten suggestions but that’s probably a good thing.  The good ideas need to be shared and to expand to prevent the “bad” things from taking hold.

This poem was written in 2010 but was brought to mind because I’ve been transferring it to my computer in preparation for one day (soon?) publishing a book. The book, that I’ve been told for the past 20 years, that I would write.  So it’s topical for me.  It’s also quite playful in its language and tone.  I find these things helpful.  I hope you do too.

TEN (PLUS) SUGGESTIONS FOR MAKING THINGS COUNT

One: Look after Number One.

Look after your own needs first.

Love yourself…

for if you cannot do this you cannot love anyone.

.

Two: Think of others too.

Be compassionate.

Try to walk in another’s shoes before you condemn anyone.

.

Three: Exercise restraint: Leave others free…

to do as they choose.  Respect their rights to make mistakes.

.

Four: Find meaning in your life. Have something to live for.

If you make a difference, your life will add up.

.

Five: Live your life with integrity. If I’ve

learnt anything in my journey it’s that:

“Integrity is all about oneness, wholeness and truth.”

.

Six:  Sex… (now I have your full attention)

and possessions and the physical world do not really matter.

Do not be attached to things.

If you you do not have possessions you will not be “possessed”…

and you will have a better chance of finding

the things that really matter.

.

Seven: Seven is supposedly a lucky number. It’s fine to believe that but it’s_even

better to recognize that we operate under divine law,

and we make our own “luck”.

So, live right, do good things and think and behave positively,

and you will receive good things in return,

This is karma in operation.

It is divine justice, and divine compassion in action.

.

Eight: Eliminate from your life ill-will and h-ate.

Love is unconditional…

You cannot love any one, if you do not love all.

.

Nine: Know when to “ja” and when to say “nein”

Follow your heart. Do no harm to anyone.

(Don’t forget to include yourself!)

.

Ten (X/10): Express your love.

When it is appropriate give someone a kiss (X), or a hug ,1 (O),

or a shoulder to cry on, or a listening ear.

Be gentle and offer your support with kindness and respect.

.

Eleven: Welcome adversity for it is a gift from God.

When life is difficult you are being given chances to

learn and to grow.  Make the most of every opportunity.

Find the right balance and move on.

.

Twelve: Live life to the full. Each earthly life/incarnation is short.

Make every day count. Keep growing and evolving and finding….

.

Thirteen,                                 }        Your own ways to keep

Fourteen                                 }         making your life,

Fifteen                                     }         and our world, better.

Create well my friends.

Till next time, in love and light,

Alan
